William Elliot Whitmore @ The Windmill, Brixton. April 13th 09 by

mp3: William Elliot Whitmore – Old Devils

Iowa’s William Elliot Whitmore is the real deal. He’s exactly what I want from a blues folk musician – beard toting, whisky downing and most of all a man possessed with the spirit of music. Jenners Field @ The Windmill, Tues April 7th.

Posted in Gigs, Tickets with tags , , , , on April 2, 2009 by musicmuleblog

What? Jenners Field / Panda Obscura / Buddha Tears

Jenners Field are a South London 4-piece and when the Observers’s Will Hodgkinson met them earlier this year, he commented that their ‘sheer ability would fill me with rage, were they not such nice boys.’ They’ve been around since 2005 and are supposedly one of the most talented young bands about. Epic, soaring guitar lines, pulsating rhythms and vocal prowess beyond their years.

Support comes from Panda Obscura who are too cool to have a MySpace and the leftfield Buddha Tears.

For Fans Of: The Walkmen, The Temper Trap, Muse.

When? Tuesday, April 7th.

Where? The Windmill, Brixton.

How Much? £3

Tickets? On The Door from 8pm
