Serpentine Sessions presents: Bon Iver @ Hyde Park, June 30th.

What? Bon Iver

Bon Iver a.k.a. Justin Vernon from Wisconsin released one of the best albums of 2008 in the achingly beautiful ‘For Emma Forever Ago’. The album is beautiful stripped down Americana recorded in his father’s wood cabin in the woods of Wisconsin with Justin’s affecting high voice carrying each song to soaring peaks. I managed to catch him no less than three times last year and the album is even more moving live and as his more recent ‘Blood Bank’ EP has proved there seems no letting up on quality from newer material. Serpentine Sessions will be held in a specially designed 3000 capacity area in the Royal Park section of Hyde Park. See even the Queen must dig this guy!

When? Tuesday, June 30th.

Where? Hyde Park, London.
