It’s ace independent promoters Electroacoustic Club’s 5th birthday and to celebrate they’ve organised a stellar line-up at the beautiful Union Chapel in Angel. Will from Electroacoustic has kindly given Music Mule a pair of tickets to give away. All you have to do to get your hands on them is download the free tracks from their Birthday EP at the bottom of the post and let me know the first line of THIS IS THE KIT song ‘Krulle Bol’. The night is headlined by Johnny Parry Trio from Bedford for whom the night also doubles as the launch for their latest album ‘More Love & Death’. The three piece play beautiful, dark, piano led songs circling around lap top bleeps and clicks. For this performance the band will also be joined by a string quartet, horns, woodwind, three soprano opera singers and live visuals. Expect a grand old sound.

Support: Soy Un Caballo are a Belgian boy-girl duo who make folk songs using vibraphones,  a Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzers and the dreamy French voice of Aurélie Muller. They count Will Oldham (Bonnie Prince) and now Tunng as some of their collaborators.

Support: This Is The Kit is Kate Stables, originally form Winchester now settled in Paris with a stop in Bristol along the way. Kate’s innocent voice and gentle, plucked guitars are the order of the day.
