MusicMule SXSW 2009 Preview

So I’m off to SXSW festival in Austin, Texas tomorrow with a little bit of a stop off in New York on the way. Alright for some I know!

The music part of the festival lasts for five days from 18th-22nd March. I’ll be posting some pics, videos and thoughts from what I’ve been seeing out there so please check back every day.

There are thousands of bands playing from all over the world, I haven’t even begun to properly sink my teeth into the schedule but first off here are some bands that I’ll be trying to check out:

Passion Pit

The Temper Trap

Horse Feathers

Handsome Furs

Sky Larkin

Here We Go Magic

Liz Green

Christian Kiefer

We Have Band

The Low Anthem

A Classic Education

Hello Seahorse

David Tomas Broughton

Bang Bang Eche

Amanda Palmer

Beach House

The Golden Filter

Danny Schmidt

Dan Mangan

Caleb Engstrom

Daniel Martin Moore

Cheeky Cheeky and The Nosebleeds

Chikita Violenta

Dead Man’s Bones

Chris T-T Casxio

Dear and The Headlights

Grizzly Bear

p.s. How great is the above video?! I’ll definitely be trying to watch those guys play.
