mp3:Plump DJs – Beat Myself Up (Don Diablo ReRub)
For someone who recently confessed to not being a big remix fan it’s surprising how many I’m enjoying at the moment. Plump DJ’s last single has been given a reworking by Dutch Super DJ of the moment Don Diablo. The result is big, brash and almost Daft Punk like.
For Fans Of: Daft Punk, Plump DJ’s, Justice.
buy: Beat Myself Up 12″ / Download

mp3: Princeton – Leonard Woolf
Princeton deserves to follow in Vampire Weekend’s footsteps and become the college rock sensation of 2009. This song is perfect. Beautiful, uplifting melodies. Taken from the best debut EP of last year, ‘Bloomsbury’.
For Fans Of: Vampire Weekend, The Kinks, Peter Gabriel.

mp3:Bonnie Prince Billy – The World’s Greatest (R Kelly Cover)
It’s hard to express the amount of respect I have for Bonnie Prince Billy, one of the hardest working, highest achieving performers in Folk. He even records music to relax it would seem. I’ve rediscovered this gem, an R-Kelly cover, taken from his 2007 covers album ‘Ask Forgiveness’. The sweet female voice is that of Meg Baird in case you were wondering.
buy: Ask Forgiveness from iTunes / rough trade
