Woodpigeon, ICA, Feb 25th

What? Woodpigeon

Hailing from Calgary, Canada Woodpigeon write hushed acoustic driven songs built around the comic book fantasy lyrics of Mark Andrew. The songs are excellently structured and often build from introspective asides to all out exclamation, remaining satisfyingly melodic throughout. They possess the innocent charm of artists like Sufjan Stevens and Belle and Sebastian and are currently competing on similar territory to Left With Pictures who I’ve posted on a bit recently. I’ve had a sneak preview of forthcoming Woodpigeon album Treasury Library Canada out Feb 9th and if it’s anything to go by these guys could well be the new flag bearers for the quiet revolution.

Support comes from Brighton’s The Miserable Rich featuring sometime band members of Lightspeed Champion.

When? Wednesday, Feb 25th

Where? ICA, Pall Mall.

How Much? £8.50
